Wetlock is a wheel-throwing method developed by ceramic artist Khalil Jannah for creating advanced forms at any scale, from small vessels to architectural-scale

Wetlock is a wheel-throwing method developed by ceramic artist Khalil Jannah for creating advanced forms at any scale, from small vessels to architectural-scale work. This three-day intensive introduces the method through demonstration, hands-on instruction, visual references, and brief technical lectures. Participants will learn Wetlock joining, compression, structural control, and techniques for building complex forms while the clay remains workable. The workshop focuses on adapting the system to each participant’s own forms, scale, and architectural applications. Intermediate to advanced wheel-throwing experience is recommended. Participants will leave with the technical foundation to continue developing with Wetlock independently. All materials and supplies are included. The class is structured to learn the technique and the clay is reclaimed at the end of the class. Class requires 6 participants to run. Additional times may be added if there is a waitlist.
