In this hands-on workshop, artist and educator Kara Mshinda will guide participants through the art of photo weaving — a simple, tactile technique that layers two photographs together using a classic basket weave pattern to create an entirely new image. Working with pre-cut image sets featuring the birds, flowers, trees, and waterways of Bartram’s Garden, you’ll weave together photographs to create new compositions that blur the boundaries between species, seasons, and moments in time. No previous experience needed — just use your hands, your images, and your instincts. All materials are provided.
