Queen Village · 500 Kenilworth St, Philadelphia, PA 19147 · minimum age 10 mo · verified 2026-08-11 · See our listing
The youngest start age we could verify anywhere in the city. Baby Gymmers takes walkers from 10 months with one adult per child, then Lil’ Tumblers 1 (16–26 mo) and Lil’ Tumblers 2 (2–3 yr) step up from there. Everything in the early-years track is caregiver-participation; the drop-off classes don’t start until 3. Priced per session rather than monthly, and the session length varies by day, which is why the range is wide.
On the age: Baby Gymmers runs 10–18 mo; Lil’ Tumblers 1 picks up at 16 mo.
South Philadelphia (Bok building) · 1900 S 8th St, Philadelphia, PA 19148 · minimum age 10 mo · verified 2026-08-11 · See our listing
The Bok location runs the same early-years ladder as Queen Village — Baby Gymmers from 10 months, Lil’ Tumblers 1 and 2 above it, all caregiver-participation. Worth listing separately because the two sites have different schedules, and "InMovement" alone doesn’t tell a parent in South Philly which building to go to.
On the age: Same early-years track as Queen Village.
Queen Village · 700 Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19147 · minimum age 10 mo · verified 2026-08-11 · See our listing
InMovement’s third city location, a few blocks from the Kenilworth site. Listed separately because the schedules differ by building and a parent booking a 10-month-old needs to know which door to walk through.
On the age: Same early-years track as the other two sites.
East Falls · 3500 Scotts Lane, Philadelphia, PA 19129 · minimum age 18 mo · verified 2026-08-11 · See our listing
Mini & Me is a 45-minute caregiver-participation class for 18 months up to a child’s third birthday, Saturday mornings, with a low student-to-teacher ratio. At $130/month for one weekly class it is the clearest published price in the city for this age band — additional days are $120/month each. Inside the WareSpace building in East Falls.
On the age: Runs to "not yet 3"; Preschool (3–4) is the drop-off next step.
Frankford / Northeast Philadelphia · 2757-59 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19134 · minimum age 10 mo · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
Tied for the youngest start in the city at 10 months, and the most flexible schedule on this page: eleven Me & You sections a week, Monday through Saturday, in a renovated three-level gym with trampolines, a spring floor and a foam pit. Classes are 30 minutes with you alongside — their booking system carries a flat "an adult must stay" on every listing. The autumn session runs 31 August to 23 November at $283, or you can try a single class for $25 before committing, which is the cheapest way to test a room with a nervous one-year-old. No registration or annual fee, 10% off for siblings, and they will split payment across September, October and November for a 4% fee. One thing to ignore: a separate policies page says adults may not participate in gymnastics — that is the rule for their older rec classes, not this one. (215) 350-6575.
On the age: Runs 10 months to 3½ years. Their own class page says "to 2 years" — that ceiling is out of date, the floor is right.

One Saturday-morning class, 9:15–10:00am, with a grown-up in it. Read the age carefully: the website advertises "Walking – 2 years old," which sounds like it takes a 12-month-old, but the booking system enforces a 24-month minimum and turns younger children away at checkout. It is the only class in their entire 62-class catalogue that starts under 3 — everything else is 3+, most of it 6+. The monthly rate is listed as $90 on the site and charged at $93 in the portal; drop-in is possible but they publish no price for it. Open gym runs Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons at $10 pre-registered, listed as all ages with no stated minimum. Call (267) 766-6632.
On the age: Their site says "Walking – 2 years old," but registration enforces a hard 24-month floor and will reject a younger child at checkout. 24 is the number that actually binds.
Feasterville-Trevose (Bucks County) · 155 Philmont Ave, Feasterville-Trevose, PA 19053 · minimum age 18 mo · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
Named for the Somerton neighborhood but actually just over the county line in Feasterville-Trevose — close for Far Northeast families, a real drive from anywhere else. Me & My Buddy runs Tuesday 9:30am and Saturday 9:00am, 45 minutes, with one grown-up in the gym; past this class parents are not permitted beyond the lobby doors, so age 3 is a hard handoff to drop-off here. Budget for an annual membership on top of tuition — $35 for one child, $60 for a family. Operating since 1993 and registered through June 2027. Call (215) 364-7878.
On the age: Published as 18 months; the registration system actually gates at 15. We list the higher number — being turned away at the door is worse than a call. If yours is 15–17 months, ring first.

Sunday mornings, 9:15–10:00am, for 18 months to 3 years, with an adult in the class. Fall 2026 session runs Sept 13 – Oct 25. At $80 for members it is roughly a quarter of what the private gyms charge for a comparable block — the single biggest price gap on this page. Registration opens shortly before the session starts and the class caps out, so it is worth watching rather than assuming a spot.
On the age: Runs 18 mos – 3 yrs. The other two city branches start at 12 months.
North Philadelphia · 1400 N. Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19121 · minimum age 12 mo · verified 2026-08-11
Wednesday evenings, 5:15–6:00pm, taking walkers from 12 months up to age 3 with an adult in the class. Fall 2026 session runs Sept 9 – Oct 21. One of the few weekday-evening options in the city for this age, which matters if weekend mornings are already spoken for.
On the age: Runs 12 mos – 3 yrs.
West Philadelphia · 5120 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19139 · minimum age 36 mo (3 yr) · verified 2026-08-12
If you have a two-year-old, this branch is not your answer — its youngest gymnastics class starts at 3, and it is drop-off. Gymnastics Preschool (3–5) runs Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings. There is no parent-and-child gymnastics section in the current term, though the branch does host a competitive gymnastics team, so the apparatus and coaches are there and a section could appear later; the YMCA only publishes one session at a time and Late Fall opens for registration on 14 October. For under-3s right now the branch offers parent-and-child swim rather than gymnastics, from 6 months. Call (215) 476-2700.
On the age: No parent-and-child gymnastics here this term — 3 is the youngest gymnastics age at this branch.
Roxborough · 7201 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128 · minimum age 12 mo · verified 2026-08-11
The cheapest verified toddler gymnastics in the city, and the most flexible: three separate sections for 12 months to 3 years — Tuesday 5:00–5:30pm, and two back-to-back Saturday slots at 10:00 and 10:40am. Fall 2026 sessions run Sept 8 – Oct 20 (Tue) and Sept 12 – Oct 24 (Sat). These are 30-minute classes rather than the 45 minutes at Columbia North and Christian Street, which is the trade for the lower price — and is honestly about right for a 1-year-old’s attention span.
On the age: Runs 12 mos – 3 yrs.
Northeast Philadelphia · 11088 Knights Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154 · minimum age 36 mo (3 yr) · verified 2026-08-12
The Far Northeast branch, and the frustrating one: gymnastics here starts at 3 and is drop-off, with four Preschool sections across Sunday and Tuesday — nothing for a walking one-year-old. What it does run for that age is Music and Movement Parent and Child, 12 months to 3 years, Tuesday mornings at the same $80 member price, which is not gymnastics but is the nearest thing on offer up here without a long drive. The YMCA publishes one session at a time; Late Fall opens 14 October, so it is worth re-checking then. Call (215) 632-0100.
On the age: No parent-and-child gymnastics here this term — 3 is the youngest gymnastics age at this branch.
Conshohocken (Montgomery County) · 200 W. Ridge Pike, Suite L-211, Conshohocken, PA 19428 · minimum age 18 mo · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
Despite the name this is in Conshohocken, about half an hour out of Center City. You & Me is a 45-minute class with a grown-up on the mat, 18 months to a bit past 3, and it runs five times a week across Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 8 September. They advertise it as "$39 per class" — true, but it is billed monthly at $156, which is the number to compare against the $130 and $93 monthlies elsewhere on this page. No trial classes; their separate Open Gym is a $20 cash drop-in but it is all-ages, not this. You may also see them listed as Philadelphia Gymnastic Center or Philadelphia Gymnastics Club — same gym, same suite, same phone: (610) 825-3023.
On the age: Runs 18 months to just past 3.
Ardmore (Main Line) · 24 Cricket Ave, Ardmore, PA 19003 · minimum age 4 mo · verified 2026-08-12
The closest Little Gym to Center City, about 20 minutes out, and the youngest start age anywhere on this page — 4 months, which we checked against their live bookable schedule rather than taking the brand’s word for it. The catch is that "from 4 months" means one Bugs class a week, Friday at 3:15pm; a family with a five-month-old has a single slot, not a schedule. Above that the ladder runs Birds (10–19 mo), Beasts (19–30 mo) and Super Beasts to 35 months, all with an adult in the gym, and drop-off begins the day they turn 3. It is sold as a rolling monthly membership rather than a session: $140 a month for one class a week, $120 if you commit to twelve months, $250 for two classes. A single trial class is $40.
On the age: Genuinely 4 months — but there is exactly one class that low, Fridays at 3:15pm.
Jenkintown (Montgomery County) · 821 Homestead Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046 · minimum age 4 mo · verified 2026-08-12
The other near-city Little Gym, just over the northern border and a few minutes further out than Ardmore. Same 4-month floor, verified the same way, and the same catch — one Bugs class in the entire week, Tuesday at 1:00pm. Cheaper than Ardmore across the board: $120 a month for one class a week, $105 on a twelve-month commitment, and a trial class at $20 rather than $40. Adult in the gym until 3, then drop-off.
On the age: Genuinely 4 months — but there is exactly one class that low, Tuesdays at 1:00pm.
Bala Cynwyd (Montgomery County) · 45 Bala Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 · minimum age 60 mo (5 yr) · verified 2026-08-12
Frequently recommended for toddlers and wrong for them twice over. It is not in the city, and despite advertising "all girls and boys ages 3 and up," the actual booking system — run through Lower Merion Township Parks & Rec — enforces 5 to 14 on every weekly class from September through June. There is no parent-and-child class at any age. The only way in under 5 is summer camp, which takes 3s. Weekly classes are $180 a month for Lower Merion residents, $216 if you are not one, which for a Philadelphia family is the number that applies. (610) 580-4714.
On the age: Advertised as "ages 3 and up," but registration will not take a child under 5 for a weekly class. Camp goes down to 3.
East Norriton (Montgomery County) · 2800 Potshop Lane, Suite 104, East Norriton, PA 19403 · minimum age 36 mo (3 yr) · verified 2026-08-12
Skip this one if your child is under 3. Several Philadelphia roundups describe Turner’s as running "parent/child gymnastics" — it does not, and has not for as long as its current site has existed. Their own words: parents are not present to assist, children must be about 3 and toilet trained, no nappies. The three programmes on offer are Preschool for 3s and 4s and two girls’ tracks from 5 up. That stale claim traces to a directory entry citing a dead domain and a phone number the gym does not use. Tuition is not published; they email a PDF on request. (610) 277-0182.
On the age: No parent-and-child class here, despite what some roundups say. Toilet training required.
Phoenixville (Chester County) · 238 Schuylkill Rd, Phoenixville, PA 19460 · minimum age 12 mo · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
The youngest suburban option by a distance, and worth the drive only if you are already out that way — Phoenixville is a solid 45 minutes from Center City. SuperParents runs 45 minutes a week for 12 to 35 months with an adult on the mat, billed monthly all year at $95, plus a $65 family registration fee every August and a two-month minimum when you join. Ignore the class name saying "2–3 years"; their own policies put the floor at 12 months. Separately, Tumble Time is supervised drop-in play from 6 months — genuinely the youngest thing on this page — but it stops for the summer and comes back in September, and they publish no price for it. (610) 983-9044.
On the age: SuperParents is 12–35 months. Their drop-in Tumble Time goes younger still, from 6 months, but it is play rather than a class and it is dormant until September.
Wyndmoor (Montgomery County) · 1101 Ivy Hill Rd, Building 4, Wyndmoor, PA 19150 · minimum age Unknown · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
The closest thing to a Chestnut Hill option, and a genuinely odd one on geography: it carries a Philadelphia ZIP code (19150) but the address sits on the county line and falls in Montgomery County — a suburban gym with a city postcode, the reverse of the usual confusion. Parent & Child is 45 minutes on Saturday mornings at 8:45, one section, one adult per child on the mat. The floor is the problem: they define it as "walking aged," never as a number, and their registration portal requires an account before it will show you an age range. If you want to try before committing, drop-in is $36 a class — but budget for $246 up front if you enrol, which is first month, last month and a $44 seasonal registration fee. Ask for Thea on (267) 482-0532.
On the age: They say "walking aged toddlers to three" and publish no number anywhere. We will not turn that into one — ask when you call.
Havertown (Delaware County) · 4 Raymond Drive, Suite C, Havertown, PA 19083 · minimum age 36 mo (3 yr) · verified 2026-08-12
A trap, and an easy one to fall into. The YMCA’s gymnastics page advertises "Parent & Child Gymnastics" as a programme type, which reads as though the association’s dedicated gymnastics facility must run it. It does not — of 58 programmes here, the youngest is a ballet class for 3-year-olds, and the youngest gymnastics is invitation-only from 4. A family arriving at Raymond Drive with a two-year-old would find nothing for them. The parent-and-child class does exist a mile and a half away at the Haverford Area YMCA branch — see the next row.
On the age: Nothing under 3 here at all, and its youngest actual gymnastics is 4 and invitation-only. Do not drive here with a toddler.
Havertown (Delaware County) · 891 N. Eagle Road, Havertown, PA 19083 · minimum age 12 mo · verified 2026-08-12
The branch, not the gymnastics centre down the road — this is the one that actually runs parent-and-child gymnastics, and it is the cheapest verified option on this entire page at $69 for the six-week Monday block. Monday and Wednesday mornings plus Saturdays, 12 months to 3 years, adult in the class. It undercuts even the city YMCAs, which is worth knowing if you are in West Philly and the Chestnut Street branch has nothing for your two-year-old — Havertown is a straight run out City Avenue. Registration opened 19 August. (610) 649-0700.
On the age: Runs 12 months to 3 years — a wider band than the city branches.
Doylestown (Bucks County) · 929 North Easton Rd, Doylestown, PA 18902 · minimum age 23 mo · verified 2026-08-12 · See our listing
By far the cheapest parent-and-child gymnastics we found anywhere — $31 a month, which is a third of the next cheapest and a fifth of some — and the catch is simply that it is in Doylestown, the better part of an hour from Center City. Parent/Tot is 45 minutes on Tuesday mornings for 23 to 40 months, one section only, and an adult is required in the class: siblings cannot come along, whatever their age. It is the entry rung of their GymKids programme, which then ladders up through Rollers, Swingers and Flippers to age 6. Worth the drive only if you are already up that way, but worth knowing the number exists. (215) 345-0176.
On the age: Registration opens at 23 months — a month before the second birthday.
Roxborough (Gorgas Park) — outdoors · Gorgas Park, 6300 Ridge Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19128 · minimum age 12 mo · verified 2026-08-12
The odd one out here, and worth understanding before you book: Reflex has no gym. It runs sessions in city parks, community centres and church halls, and this autumn its Philadelphia classes are at Gorgas Park in Roxborough — which means Mentor & Me is held outdoors, on grass, four days a week. Lovely in September, and they publish no bad-weather policy, so ask. Classes run about 30 minutes with a grown-up alongside for redirections; the independent classes start at 3.5. They also run in Mt. Airy, Manayunk and Conshohocken in other terms. Note for anyone who has seen a free Reflex listing: that was a Free Library series in 2024 and it has ended — the current programme is paid. Call (610) 613-3823.
On the age: Bands are 1–2 and 1–3 years. No stated policy below 12 months.
