School's out, the Year of the Fire Horse is here, and the city is going all in on Lunar New Year this weekend. We've got three different ways to celebrate — from the big parade in Chinatown to a scavenger hunt at IKEA (yes, IKEA). Plus a flashlight tour after dark and a crafty detour that has nothing to do with dragons but everything to do with wax seals.

🟡Arrive early for a good spot, restaurants will be packed so pack snacks
Dragon and lion dances weaving through the streets, firecrackers, drums, the whole neighborhood out celebrating. This is the real deal — not a ticketed event, just the community doing what it does every year. Kids can get up close to the lions if you stake out a spot early. Starts at 11th and Arch. Pro-tip: Head there early to eat dim sum before the parade kicks off.
