Our experience

Barcade is a 21-and-up arcade bar the rest of the year, but a handful of Sundays it opens up for Family Day, and this one lands on Father's Day. From noon to five the kids play the whole wall of classic arcade and pinball machines on 50-cent tokens while dad gets a craft beer and bar food, the sandwiches, tacos, and hot dogs kind of menu. A cut of the token money goes to Gamers Outreach, which puts video games in front of kids in hospitals. Both Philly spots do it, Center City on Chestnut and Fishtown on Frankford, so pick whichever is closer.

Barcade is normally a 21+ arcade bar, but on select Sundays it opens to families for Family Day, and this one lands on Father's Day. From noon to 5 PM, kids (with a parent or guardian) can play the wall of classic arcade and pinball machines on 50-cent tokens while the grownups get a craft beer and bar food, the sandwiches, tacos, and hot dogs kind of menu. A portion of Family Day token sales goes to Gamers Outreach, a charity that brings video games to children in hospitals. Both Philly locations take part: Center City at 1326 Chestnut Street and Fishtown at 1114 Frankford Avenue.
