Our experience
Fox Chase Farm has been a working farm since 1762, and it only opens to the public a few days a year. BeeFest is one of them, and it is free. There are live beekeeping demos at 11 and 2, hayrides, face painting, a pollinator market, a build-a-bee kite, and farm animals to meet, with a library storytime at 1 for the little ones. It is a hike up to the Far Northeast, but it is a genuine farm day inside the city. Wear yellow or come dressed like a bee.
