Join us for the Festival of India, part of the PECO Multicultural Series on August 15, 2026
The Council of Indian Organizations in Greater Philadelphia brings the Festival of India to Cherry Street Pier on Saturday August 15, 2026, India's Independence Day itself. Expect Bollywood and classical dance performances, live music, henna tattoos, craft and apparel vendors, cultural organizations tabling, and both Northern and Southern-style Indian cooking, which is the part most families come back for. Admission is free and the pier is covered, so it works as a hot-afternoon option. It runs into the evening, so an early arrival gets you food without the longest lines.
