One of Philadelphia's weekly free Firstivals in the America250 year, this one marking the moment "The United States of America" was first spoken aloud at Independence Hall in 1776. Two hours of opening ceremony, storytellers on how the country got its name, live entertainment and family activities, plus a #1 sculpture by artist Kat Black that traces the name back to the explorer Amerigo Vespucci and stands for the original 13 colonies.
