The American Swedish Historical Museum opens its doors free for an afternoon built around building. Kids take on building challenges and construct their own structures with LEGOs, a Danish invention, plus other materials laid out around the museum. The setting is the point: the museum sits in FDR Park in a 1926 building designed by Swedish-American architect John Nyden, modeled on Eriksberg, a 17th century manor house in Sodermanland, Sweden.
