A free West Philly street festival marking 61 years since MLK's 1965 Freedom Now rally speech.
Freedom Now Fest turns Lancaster Avenue between 38th and 40th into a free street festival marking 61 years since Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s 1965 "Freedom Now" rally speech at 40th and Lancaster. Live music, spoken word, Black-owned food trucks, local vendors, and tribute exhibitions on the civil rights movement, plus a Dream Builders Kids Zone with hands-on activities for children. Presented by the MLK Lancaster Avenue Business Committee. Free and open to all, Sunday 1 to 6 PM.
