Our experience

If Odunde feels like a lot with little kids, Bartram's Garden is the calmer way to mark the weekend. Their Juneteenth Jubilee runs noon to four with live performances, storytelling, lawn games, free workshops, and vendors, right on the river in Southwest Philly. The Bicycle Coalition also runs free walk-up bike rentals from 11 to 3, so you can ride the flat riverside Bartram's Mile before or after.

Bartram's Garden marks Juneteenth with its annual Jubilee, co-hosted and emcee'd by VinylTap 215, along the Schuylkill in Southwest Philadelphia. Expect a full afternoon of live performances and storytelling, vendors, free workshops, and lawn games, with room to roam across the garden's riverfront acres. The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia also runs free walk-up bike rentals (helmets included) so families can ride the flat, scenic Bartram's Mile trail.
