Make your own wooden body hand plane! In this intermediate level, or beginner with solid foundational skills, class we will take a blank to a functional Krenov style smoothing plane. We will be making an 11-inch long plane with a 1-3/4″ iron. Each student will come away with their own handmade wooden plane, and the confidence and knowledge of how to build any size plane in the future. Students will gain an understanding of functionality, geometry and set up of planes. Students will also have a brief sharpening basics demo.
