More details
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, MuseumFest opens five of Old City's most iconic museums for free along a walkable half-mile loop: the National Constitution Center, the African American Museum in Philadelphia, Carpenters' Hall, the Betsy Ross House, and the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History. Stamp a MuseumFest passport at each stop to redeem prizes. Hands-on stops for kids include chocolate-making demos at the Betsy Ross House, the colonial "hoop and stick" game at the National Constitution Center, and rebuilding historic structures with Legos at Carpenters' Hall. Festival programming with pop-up performances and living history runs 1 to 5 PM. Free and family-friendly, presented by the American Alliance of Museums with support from the William Penn Foundation.
