  • A music festival starting at 5 PM

Our experience

Philly's biggest Juneteenth celebration takes over West Philadelphia on Sunday. The parade steps off at 12:30 from Highmark Mann and rolls down 52nd Street to Malcolm X Park, more than 2,000 marchers and 20 floats, with DJ Jazzy Jeff as grand marshal. At the park there is a Youth Pavilion built for kids, with a moon bounce, a game truck, an inflatable slide, face painting, and a magician, plus a rolling car museum and food trucks. It is free, and it is big, so take the El to 52nd Street rather than driving.
