One of only three Sundays all summer that the museum is free
Please Touch Museum runs a handful of free admission days each summer under its Ready Set School program, presented by Independence Blue Cross. Sunday July 26 is one of only three this year; the others were June 28 and August 23. Admission that day is free instead of the usual $24, and the whole museum is open: the Woodside Park Dentzel Carousel building, the water play area, the Alice in Wonderland rooms, the model train room, and the rest of it. Alongside the normal exhibits, the day carries Ready Set School programming built around getting kids ready for the school year, with play-based activities on healthy habits and social-emotional skills plus community partner resource tables in the halls. Space is limited and registration is required in advance through the museum website, so this is not a walk-up. The museum is in Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park and opens at 9 AM.
