The annual Point Breeze block party takes over Point Breeze Avenue at Tasker Street on Saturday, August 29, 2026 from noon to 8 p.m. It is free, run in collaboration with Council President Kenyatta Johnson and the nonprofit I-LEAD, and it hands out free bookbags and school supplies alongside kid-friendly activities and food vendors. The 2026 music bill is headlined by Remy Ma, Fabolous and SWV. The event has drawn several thousand neighbors in past years.
