Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse is a free-to-visit children’s play venue in East Fairmount Park that combines an outdoor playground with an indoor historic Playhouse. Kids can climb, swing, spin, and explore across a 6 1/2-acre playground that includes the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide, or play inside the three-floor Playhouse with hands-on exhibits, an indoor playground (Smithville), a Playbrary, and rotating Play-Stallations such as Pattern Puzzle Play. The site also features nature play areas and a small library for families.
