What we found
- Classes start at 10 months in the city — at Philly InMovement — Queen Village. Below about three, an adult is on the mat with the child almost everywhere; drop-off rarely starts sooner.
- A birthday party starts around $100, and 6 of the 13 venues we checked don’t count the accompanying adults against your guest limit at all — which matters more than the headline price when every toddler arrives with a parent.
- Cheapest class in the city is $72 at Roxborough YMCA — against $283 at the dearest. The spread is far wider than anyone tells you.
- Plenty of places that come top when you search for these in “Philadelphia” are not in Philadelphia. We say which.
