There's a free scavenger hunt in a cemetery on Sunday, and it lands on the nicest day of the weekend: sunny and near 60 after a frosty start. Friday evening has storms, and Saturday is dry but cold and windy, so Saturday's two street parties call for warm layers, with an indoor scrapple festival nearby if you need to thaw out. Also, the calendar we soft-launched last week is officially live, and you can now add it to your phone's home screen with your own Tiny on the icon. More on that below the picks.

Sunday · 11 AM - 3 PM
Laurel Hill East · East Falls · · All ages
🟡RSVP first · No cars inside the gates, so park across Ridge Ave and bring a layer
Laurel Hill is a garden cemetery from 1836 on the bluffs over the Schuylkill, and on Sunday it turns into a free fall afternoon for kids: a scavenger hunt through the grounds, mini tours, story times, fall crafts, games and prizes. Costumes are welcome. It's drop-in, but they want an RSVP, and you check in at the welcome desk. If you can, bring a donation for neighbors in need: outerwear, new socks and underwear, or toiletries.

🟡Take the train · The Manayunk/Norristown Line stops a block off Main St. Hats, it's windy
Manayunk's fall fest runs along Main Street, which stays open to traffic while Cotton, Grape and Roxborough Ave close for the activities. The stop to build around is the Kids Market on the Venice Island basketball courts, just across the canal from Main: young vendors selling things they made, at prices they set, with a moon bounce next to it. Back on the side streets there's face painting on Gay, caricatures on Grape, line dancing on Cotton, and a pop-up pumpkin patch with decorating and carnival games. Free to walk around.
Saturday · 2 - 9 PM
200 block of South Street · Queen Village · · All ages
🟢Bring a camp chair · Bounce houses wrap at 6, the movie starts at 7, so dress warm if you're staying
The Queen Village Neighborhood Association closes the 200 block of South Street to cars on Saturday for a bring-your-own-chair Halloween block party. Bounce houses and games run 2 to 6, there's a pumpkin carving contest from 3 to 5 (carving kits are $5), live music until 7, then free popcorn and Hocus Pocus on the street from 7 to 9. Drop in for an hour in the afternoon, or plant a chair and stay for the movie.
