Kidchella 2026 is a family music festival at Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse featuring live performances, hands-on activities, food, and fun for children
Kidchella is Smith Memorial Playground's free, kid-sized music festival. A real lineup plays the Kidchella Music Stage: Philadelphia's own Interminable, DJ Courtnee Owens, Brazilian percussionist Dendê Macêdo, The Bearded Ladies Cabaret, and youth performers from Beyond the Bars. Beyond the music there's a rock wall, art stations, and a Zen Zone with a Little Yoga Squad. Little ones get a free book courtesy of Sesame Place and a special appearance from Elmo, and free snacks are handed out throughout. The night closes with a kid-friendly fireworks finale around 9. The Giant Wooden Slide is open; the indoor Playhouse is closed for the day. Part of Wawa Welcome America.
