Placement terms

A placement in one issue of the TinyJawns newsletter, on the Thursday you choose at booking. A Local Spotlight is a dedicated block, one per issue. A Community Board line is one sentence and a link, up to three per issue.

Placements are labelled "Sponsored" in the email and on the public archive at tinyjawns.com/issues. We do not run unlabelled paid content.

Issues stay on the archive after the send, so a placement usually keeps working after the Thursday it ran. We do not guarantee that any issue stays online indefinitely.

You supply the facts; we write the words. This is the whole reason the newsletter is worth advertising in, and it is not negotiable. We will not run supplied ad copy verbatim.

We will get your facts right, and if something is wrong tell us before the send and we will fix it. Wording, tone, length and placement within the issue are ours. Disliking the phrasing is not grounds for a refund once the issue has sent.

If you need approval over exact wording, this is not the right product and you should not book.

Booking holds your card; it does not buy the spot. Every booking is checked against whether we would send our own families to it. If it does not fit, we release the hold, you are not charged, and we tell you why.

We may decline for any reason consistent with that judgement. Being declined is not a statement about your business.

We do not run: multi-level marketing, alcohol, cannabis, vaping, gambling or firearms as the product, political or religious recruitment, health claims that would require a licence, or unlicensed care for children.

At booking, your card is authorized for the amount shown. Nothing is charged at that point. We capture the payment only when we confirm the placement, and we email you a receipt when we do.

If we decline, or if we do not confirm within seven days, the authorization is released by your bank. Timing of the release is your bank's, not ours; it is usually a few business days.

Prices are in US dollars and shown before you reach checkout. We do not charge sales tax on advertising placements.

Before we confirm: cancel any time by replying to your booking email. Nothing has been charged, and we release the hold.

After we confirm and before the issue sends: reply and ask. We will refund you in full and release the slot, provided the issue has not already been built. In practice that means give us at least 24 hours before the Thursday.

After the issue sends: no refund, because the placement ran. The exception is our own failure — if you were charged and your placement was not in the issue that went out, we refund you in full without you having to ask. We check for this automatically after every send.

If we cancel or skip an issue you had booked, we move you to the next one or refund you in full, your choice.

We sell a placement, not a result. We do not promise opens, clicks, visits, enquiries or sales, and none of those are grounds for a refund.

Audience figures we publish are honest and current at the time of writing, and they move week to week.

We are not responsible for what happens on your own site, or for the accuracy of what you tell us about your business. You confirm you have the right to use anything you send us, including images.

We use your contact details to run the booking and to talk to you about it. We do not sell them or add you to unrelated marketing.

Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers. We keep a record of your booking, what you agreed to, and when, because we need it if a payment is disputed.

These terms are between you and TinyJawns, 2204 South St Frnt #1032, Philadelphia, PA 19146, and are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Our liability for any booking is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may change these terms. The version in force is the one you accepted at booking, and we keep a record of it. Questions go to hello@tinyjawns.com and a person answers.
