Hands-on beekeeping on a hidden South Philly garden — ages 5+

Immersive beekeeping experience on a four-acre community garden in South Philly. Kids and adults learn about bee anatomy, development, castes, and communication, then suit up to observe active hives. Participants handle frames and individual bees, and taste honey straight from the hive. Run by a Cornell Master Beekeeper who started keeping bees when his daughter Anna was 7. Fully insured and licensed by the PA Dept. of Agriculture. Ages 5+, children under 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
