Iconic Center City park with sculptures, seasonal events, and kid-friendly atmosphere

Rittenhouse Square is one of five original public squares planned by William Penn in the late 17th century, located in the heart of Center City between 18th and 20th Streets, Walnut and Locust. The beautifully maintained park features manicured lawns, mature trees, winding paths, a reflecting pool, and beloved sculptures including the bronze Billy goat (a kids' favorite), Duck Girl, and Lion Crushing a Serpent. The park hosts seasonal events including a farmers market, art shows, the annual Christmas Tree Lighting, and the Little Friends Festival for kids in June.
