You are at the park. Signal is bad. You want to check what is on this weekend, or pull up the party place you saved last night. A website you have to find again in a browser tab is slow at exactly the wrong moment.
So you can now keep TinyJawns on your home screen, like an app. No app store, no account, nothing to download from a store. It is the same site, set up to open the way an app does.
Add it in a few taps
On Android and in Chrome, tap Install when TinyJawns offers it, or use Get the app in the menu. On an iPhone, use Share, then Add to Home Screen.
Make it yours
Before you add it, you can choose how the app looks and where it starts:
- The icon. Pick the character on your home screen. Tiny comes in season costumes, like Halloween, winter, Fourth of July and game day, and there are other friends from the calendar too.
- The background. Beige, light or dark.
- The opening view. Day, week, weekend or month.
Those choices stay on your device.
Press and hold the icon and you get shortcuts: This weekend, Free this week, and whichever holiday is coming up next. The app also opens on the last view you used, so you pick up where you left off.
Your calendar and your party finder, offline
Once you have opened them, the calendar and the party finder still open with no signal, at the park, in the car, on the train. A small Offline note tells you that you are looking at what you last saw, and it refreshes when you are back online.
What stays on your device
Your kids' ages, your ZIP, your saved places and how you like things laid out stay on your phone, not in a profile with us. Our privacy page has the details.
Why we built it
It is the same idea as the new calendar: spend less of your time. One tap from your home screen to this weekend. One tap to the party finder you were comparing last night.
