Fall turned up this week, and so did the rain. Saturday is 69 with about a 50 percent chance of showers, Sunday is 67 with showers likely. Three of the four picks land on Saturday, which is the better of the two days. The Delaware River Festival ends at 4 and the Mid-Autumn Festival runs until 8, so those two stack if you want a long day of it.

🟢Free · The RiverLink ferry runs free all day
The 8th Delaware River Festival runs on both banks at once, Penn's Landing on this side and Wiggins Park in Camden on the other, with the ferry free all day between them. Environmental educators set up hands-on tables about what actually lives in the river, and there are pedal boats, fishing, a tall ship, face painting, a scavenger hunt and crafts. Parking at Penn's Landing is limited because of construction, so the organizers suggest parking in Camden and taking the ferry over.

It is the anchor of Hispanic Heritage Month here, and 6ABC carries it live. The Parkway shuts from Eakins Oval to Logan Circle, and Kelly Drive closes at 5 AM.

Drexel announced this month that the Academy's museum closes on September 30, just short of its 200th birthday. It only opens Friday through Sunday, which makes this the last weekend it is open to the public. The research side and the collection of more than 19 million specimens are staying; it is the museum floor that is closing.
