Saturday is the hot one, right around 90 and clear. Sunday drops a few degrees but there is a real chance of storms in the afternoon, and both of this weekend's street festivals run Sunday, so glance at the organizer's page before you load up the stroller. Northern Liberties shuts down 2nd Street for 14 blocks, Spring Garden up to Girard, and fills it with 250-plus vendors, live music stages, and food trucks nose to tail. This is the 16th year. The kid stuff is concentrated early: a splash zone and playground at the Piazza, an art table running noon to 5, and free face painting from 1 to 3. Stilt walkers and circus performers work the crowd. Come for lunch rather than dinner, the family crowd thins out and the beer gardens take over later in the day.
